African Independence Television (AIT) and Daar Communication Plc Boss Raymond Dopkesi has been granted bail on Monday by a Federal High Court in Abuja in regardless of the money laundry suit that was brought to him by the Federal Government.
He is currently facing a six-count charge of alleged money laundering, the case was brought up by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
The Judge of the Abuja high court Justice Kolawole Gabriel reviewed that Chief Raymond Dokpesi will be granted bail on the conditions that he provide two sureties with 200 million naira each,having the first surety should be a director in the civil service, and the second surety should be a private investor who has paid tax for at least the last three years.
Judge Kolawole also said Chief. Dokpesi should be given eight and a half hours of free time by EFCC before any plans of questioning can be carried-out by the EFCC to continue with there investigation.
In condition of the bail, Chief Raymond Dokpesi will submit his international passport to the court’s registrar within 24 hours.
